Description

This CLE program provides attorneys with a practical overview of student discipline and manifestation determination reviews involving classified students under New York State Education Law, the Commissioner’s Regulations, and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (“IDEA”). The program will examine the legal requirements governing disciplinary proceedings and manifestation determinations, while offering practical guidance to school attorneys and other practitioners regarding best practices for handling Superintendent’s hearings and conducting manifestation determination reviews.

Participants will gain a better understanding of the procedural requirements, legal considerations, and practical strategies involved in these matters.
