Description

This practical CLE program is designed for attorneys looking to integrate generative AI—specifically ChatGPT—into their legal workflows safely and effectively. Participants will learn how to set up and interact with ChatGPT using high-value, legally focused prompts, and will explore how to apply AI to common legal tasks, including legal research, case law summarization, document comparison, motion and email drafting, and client communication.

Through live demonstrations, fill-in-the-blank prompt templates, and real-world examples, attendees will gain hands-on strategies for improving speed and efficiency without compromising quality or ethics. The course also addresses critical risks such as AI “hallucinations,” outdated or incorrect citations, and data privacy concerns, offering clear guidance on how to spot and avoid these common pitfalls.

By the end of the session, attorneys will leave with a repeatable framework for transforming matter-specific facts, statutes, and case law into structured outlines, polished drafts, and client-ready updates—along with a compliance-focused ethics checklist to support responsible AI use in legal practice.
