Description

U.S. immigration policy continues to evolve rapidly, requiring practitioners to stay current on shifting adjudication standards and evolving agency guidance. Recent policy changes have significantly affected how immigration benefits are evaluated, increasing the importance of thorough case preparation and well-supported filings.

This CLE program examines recent developments affecting visa, green card, and naturalization adjudications, with a particular focus on policy changes implemented during the current administration. Participants will review updated guidance relating to admissibility, good moral character determinations, enhanced evidentiary expectations, and other developments influencing the adjudication of immigration benefit applications.

The program also explores the practical implications of these changes for attorneys representing clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and U.S. consular posts. Attendees will gain strategies for preparing stronger petitions, anticipating increased scrutiny, assembling persuasive supporting evidence, and effectively counseling clients throughout the adjudication process.
