Description

Recent catastrophic events such as hurricanes, wildfires, and the global pandemic have spotlighted important insurance coverage protecting property and business interruption. Previous courses I presented have provided insight into the coverage terms and conditions that apply, and the process by which catastrophic claims should be managed and submitted. But what happens when a property or business interruption claim cannot be settled?

This course answers the question. Some might think the appropriate remedy is litigation. However, the insurance policy requires the parties – the insurer and the policyholder – to resolve their dispute over the value of loss and damage in Appraisal, a forum unique and distinctive from other alternative dispute resolution venues.

Hear from one of the top experts in this field on how to identify the need and timing for Appraisal, navigate through this mostly uncharted forum, and best position your client for a successful outcome.
