The legal profession is demanding, high-stakes, and often defined by long hours, billable targets, and rigorous performance metrics. While these pressures can drive achievement, they can also erode the sense of purpose that initially inspired lawyers to enter the field. This CLE course explores the intersection of burnout, motivation, and professional fulfillment in legal practice, offering participants practical tools to sustain long-term engagement, effectiveness, and personal well-being.

Through an evidence-informed and reflective approach, this session helps attorneys recognize the signs and consequences of burnout, understand the factors that shape motivation, and reconnect with the underlying values that give legal work meaning. Participants will gain strategies to integrate purpose into daily practice, enhance resilience, and maintain ethical and professional excellence—even in high-pressure environments.

Lecturer Bio

Karen Munoz

Karen Munoz is a seasoned plaintiff’s attorney, wellness educator, and the founder of Roaring Grace, a legal wellness consultancy dedicated to helping lawyers thrive. After nearly two decades practicing trauma-informed law, Karen is now pursuing a master’s in psychology with a focus on integrating mindfulness, resilience, and emotional intelligence into the legal field.

Through her work as a speaker, yoga teacher, and educator, she brings a unique perspective on what it means to be both a strong advocate and a healthy human being in the legal world.
